I'm doing my very first guest post today over at Tossing It Out. How cool is that, my first ever guest post on one of Arlee's blogs? Brilliant! If you don't already follow Arlee you should go check him out. He has five lovely blogs, my personal fave - A faraway View; a blog about dreams. I'm sure if you're a regular here you know how much I love dreams!
The Artist: There is absolutely nothing bad to say about this movie. Everything about it is perfect; the direction, the acting, the music, I enjoyed it all. The dream scene and the ending are brilliant. I love watching silent movies and this didn't disappoint. There are many famous faces you may recognise too including John Goodman, James Cromwell and Malcolm McDowell. A beautiful story and an absolute must see if you haven't already.
The Descendants: This bored me a little at the start with all the talk of selling land, but once Matt King, played by the very sexy George Clooney, starts on his mission to find the guy his comatosed wife was having an affair with, the movie gets quite funny and a little bit emotional at the same time. It's not as good as I was expecting it to be, I think it might be one of those movies I have to watch again to really appreciate it; I get the feeling I will enjoy it more second time around!
The GreyHave you seen these movies? Do you ever have to watch a movie twice to enjoy it properly? You a fan of silent movies?

Already read your post this morning at Lee's site. And I really liked The Grey. It wasn't what I was expecting, but I blame the movie ads for that.
I haven't seen any of these movies yet, but I'm definitely going to give The Artist a shot. I heard mixed reviews about The Grey, but I'll eventually get around to watching that too. As for The Descendants, I hadn't heard anything about that, but the previews looked decent enough.
I haven't seen any of these movies, but I have watched a movie again because I enjoyed it so much the first time. Shawshank Redemption is one I watch every time it's on.
Great posting @ Lee's blog! :) And I left a lil comment there too. :) Haven't seen any of these movies. :/ I may give The Artist a peek after it comes to Redbox.
i have only seen one of your movies, the descendants, which i rather disliked--maybe i should have watched it twice ;)
There are a number of movies that I've had to watch more than once to fully appreciate. Pulp Fiction is one that first comes to mind.
I saw The Grey and was disappointed. It's not a horrible film, but not my favorite either.
Perhaps you can give me a TV and DVD player up here in the attic so I can watch the other two films.

Hmm, there are more than I thought, so I'll stop now!
I haven't seen any of those movies. The Artist sounds intriguing. Will come visit you at your guest post.
This sounds like a RedBox weekend made in heaven. Thanks for the brief reviews.
